Problem:
Manually sanding then engraving products was handled by one full-time employee who was forced to wear PPE to protect from inhalation hazards.
Solution:
Robotic Advantage designed and implemented a cell for process improvement, reduce processing time, free up time for the employee, as well as protect all employees in the area from airborne hazards generated by the sanding and engraving.
Result:
The time it took to sand and engrave the products was significantly reduced and airborne hazards were contained to a level low enough where the use of PPE was no longer required.
